tadiROCK is artist, motor and muse. Her motivation is metamorphosis.
With materials like rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, glitter, lacquer, feathers and beat gold, tadiROCK makes the surface of things shine in a way, that their depth of sharpness becomes perceptible. Photographs, paintings, portraits and everyday objects turn into unique items and works of art with a completely new [mean]ing.
tadiROCK raises the beautiful revolution from the outside.
tadiROCK was born two years ago, [real]izing that the yearning for the »freedom to be how I am« burned more blazingly each day. She doesn’t deny the aseptic highlights of the media and music business from her former life, but instead refracts them through reality and by that risks infection. »tadiROCK is mine«, she grins – and rather contaminates the whole world with herself, than to surrender silently.
Her trademark is the disco ball, her craft is meditation. In delightful solitude, she deals with her works for weeks, until they are allowed to return to the public – altered. It’s the closeness to the work and the distance from the hype, from which she draws this [spark]ling energy, lending wings not only to herself. As founder, co-manager and curator of MADE, tadiROCK releases her philosophy to other artists as well. Together with partners, she has created a think tank, studio and exhibition space on the 9th floor of the ›Haus des Reisens‹ at Alexanderplatz, Berlin, which stimulates, supports and displays interdisciplinary art projects. In her current series, tadiROCK is closing up on the theme ›The Beauty of Violence‹ and thereby wrestles with the definition of beauty. How much grace is a baseball bat allowed radiating and how does a brass knuckle become a [fashion]accessory? During her exhibition end of 2011 tadiROCK drags violence from the taboo, thrusting it stylishly and shamelessly into the spotlight.
tadiROCK is a Bling-Buddhist on her search for Zen; a crazed City-Elf and a seductive revolutionary with glitter at the ready. tadiROCK lures, dazzles, manipulates and provokes with the beautiful veneer.
